Training the mustang continues
and I am sore everywhere and I want to pass out
we worked on trotting circles first (in saddle) which we got down and then I wanted to teach him his next gate the canter
oh man
I kicked but all I could get was a faster trot.. so fast he could have probably kept up with the other horses canter… my abs hurt sooo bad
so I resorted to one hand holding the reins center as I took the ends to chase him around… but that only got me and even faster trot and a lot of frustrated bucking
which is the main reason I’m sore…
so I decided to free lung him with the saddle to get him to canter which has proved to not work so far
and like always it wasn’t working so I flicked him in the heels and FINALLY he took off.
that was all I needed
I got him to canter a few short times and then gave him a break for a reward along with some treats of course. So we’ll see how next time goes

………..i feel like clarifying that Wisconsin isn’t the only one that makes yellow cheddar, also it’s yellow because they dye it with Annatto. It’s not bad, just made by the seeds of the tree with the same name. They did it because beta carotene levels in cows milk is different all the time causing color changes in the cheese so they wanted one uniform color. It originated in Europe.
